What is personal information or data?
Personal information or personal data is anything which tells us something about you or something about your interests, provided that we can tell it is about you. It could include your name, email or home address, phone number, the country you are in, your age, whether you are a boy or a girl and who your parents or guardians are.
What sort of personal information do we use?
This will depend on what you do on our website. If you set up an account or player profile with us, we will need to know things like you name, email address and date of birth. If you wish to buy anything from us or book an arena session, we will also need your payment details and address. If you upload any photos videos, comments or any other materials to our website we will need your identity and contact details so that we can monitor the materials you upload and so we can get in touch with you about them if we need to. We may also get technical information about the device you are using and your location (if you have enabled location settings and have told us we can use this).
What we do with your information
Who do we share your personal information with?
We may have to share your information with people who are helping us to provide our goods or services, such as website developers, people who deliver products for us and those who help us with our marketing and promotion. This is so that they can help us to give you the best possible experience. Where you are attending an arena, we may also share your information with people operating that arena on your behalf so that you can make the most of the facilities that we have at our arenas.
Sometimes we may also need to share it with the people who advise us such as our accountants and lawyers, our insurers or government bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive or HMRC. Other than this we will not generally share your information with third parties.
Rest assured where we share your personal information with anyone else, we will do all we can to make sure that they also keep it safe and secure.
If we need to send your personal information to anyone outside of Europe, we will make sure that we have done everything we can to ensure that they have the same safety and security standards that we have.
How long do you keep my information for?
We will only keep your personal information as long as we need it for, for the purpose you gave it to us for, unless we have a legal obligation to keep it longer.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time and where possible we will make sure that this is done.
The law says that you can always:
- Ask us for a copy of the information we have about you;
- Ask us to change the information we have about you, or to bring it up to date, if it is wrong;
- Ask us to delete the information we have about you;
- Tell us that that we cannot use the information we have about you to sell you anything;
- Tell us to change what we do with your information or that you are not happy with what we are doing with your information; and
- Tell us that we can no longer use your data in a particular way even if you have previously told us it is ok or given us your permission for us to use your information in that way (this is often referred to as withdrawing consent).
Finally… whilst we will do all we can to protect your information and to make sure you are happy with the way we use it, if for any reason you are unhappy you can make a complaint to the Information Commissioner who is the person responsible for overseeing privacy and data protection in the UK.
